Wordtune Review Unveiling its Pros and Cons – Is it a Must-Have or Should You Explore Superior Alternatives
WordTune, an AI writing tool, enhances content by suggesting sentence rephrasing. While it's suitable for emails and short articles, it falls short for long-form content, producing only 400+ word blog posts. Features include a blog article writer, sentence rewriting, tone changing, a summary library, and a read-and-summarize function. Priced with Plus and Unlimited plans, a free version is available. However, alternatives like, Neuronwriter, and Surgegraph offer superior functionality, making WordTune less compelling in the evolving landscape of AI writing tools.

Welcome to my WordTune Review! Today, I want to share my experience with another AI writing tool called ‘Wordtune.’ Join me as we explore its features and see how it can make writing easier and more enjoyable.

I’ll break down the user-friendly aspects and unique functions that might become your new writing companion. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just getting started, Wordtune aims to simplify and enhance your writing journey.

So, let’s take a closer look together and discover how ‘Wordtune’ can add a touch of magic to your writing process.

In this review I’ll cover the following:

  • What is WordTune
  • What are the key features of Wordtune
  • What are its benefits

Key Takeaways:

  • Wordtune is ideal for writing emails, and creating an article.
  • Has a summary tool that can read your articles or text and provide you with a detailed summary.
  • Wodtune is not capable of writing a true long-form article, it can only write 400+ words that are too short for publication.

What is Wordtune?

Wordtune is an artificial intelligence technology that helps users improve their writing by offering suggestions for rephrasing and restructuring sentences.

It can make text more engaging, clear, and effective. Wordtune is used to create content more tailored to the intended audience and purpose, whether it’s for business communications, academic writing, or creative endeavors.

By utilizing this tool, writers can save time and effort in finding the right words and expressions to convey their message effectively. Wordtune provides a range of options to choose from, allowing users to enhance their writing style and impact.

Wordtune Key Features

Wordtune is an AI-powered writing platform that offers various writing tools. Here are some of the key features you can use in Wordtune.

Blog Article Writer

AI-powered blog article writers are among the features you can use inside Wordtune. Within the Wordtune editor, there is an option for you to write or paste your text or generate it with AI.

If you choose the ‘generate with AI’ option, you can explore various AI-powered tools, including the ‘blog article writer.’

To utilize the blog article writer, you need to enter your topic first, along with keywords and target audience. The blog writer will then create the article for you. While it sounds promising, unfortunately, I’m not impressed with the results.

The Wordtune blog writer can only produce blog posts of 400+ words, which is not ideal for most blog articles. The writing quality is good, but when using the Wordtune blog article writer, I feel like I’m using the free ChatGPT version to generate an article.

Rewrite Sentence Feature

Aside from the blog article writer, Wordtune also includes a rewriting feature. Within its online editor, you can highlight the text that you want to rewrite, and the AI will then generate different variations of sentences for you to consider.

Overall, the rewriting features of Wordtune are good. The only thing I didn’t like was that you could only choose a concise sentence to rewrite. This means that you can’t rewrite a whole paragraph, and the process was still a bit manual compared to other AI rewriting tools.

Change Tone

Wordtune also offers a feature to change the tone of your text. Similar to the rewrite functionality, all you need to do is highlight the text that you want to change the tone of, and the AI writing assistant will provide you with different suggested text options.

Unfortunately, similar to the rewrite functionality, you can only choose a short text to change the tone. This implies that you have to manually highlight each section of your article and change it one after another.

Wordtune Summary Library

Wordtune’s Summary Library is also a valuable feature. Once you have your compilation of documents inside Wordtune, you can utilize it as your personal search engine.

Simply use the search bar to pose questions, and the AI will extract information from the documents within your library to provide specific answers.

While this feature is beneficial, most of the time, you might not find it necessary. It seems like they added the feature just in case you need it.

Creating Outline using Wordtune

You can create an outline using Wordtune, but it lacks a dedicated outline generator like other AI writers. Instead, if you wish to use it for outlining, you can employ the AI by entering your prompt, similar to the process in ChatGPT, to request the AI to generate an outline for you.

The outline it generates is acceptable, but it functions similarly to using the free version of ChatGPT.

Wordtune Read and Summarize

Out of all the features that Wordtune offers, the “Read and Summarize” function is my favorite. It can read a long-form article for you and provides a detailed summary of the content.

To use it, you can upload a PDF file, import a link, or copy and paste text into the “Read and Summarize” section of Wordtune.

Wordtune Price and Plan

For pricing, Wordtune offers two regular plans: Plus and Unlimited. The Plus plan costs $24.99 per month and includes 30 rewrites, 5 AI prompts per day, 5 summaries a day, unlimited text correction, and unlimited text recommendations.

The Unlimited plan is priced at $37.50 per month, providing users with unlimited rewrites, unlimited AI prompts, unlimited summaries, unlimited text and grammar corrections, unlimited text recommendations, and premium support.

Wordtune also offers a free plan for users who want to try their product. The free version of Wordtune includes 10 rewrites, 3 AI prompts, and 3 summaries per day.

Pros and Cons Of Wordtune Tool

To help you in your decisions, here are the pros and cons of Wordtune that will serve as a guide if you need this tool or not.

  • Provides unlimited plan
  • Gives more control to users

  • Lesser features compared to its competitors
  • Not capable of generating long-form articles
  • Competitors’ AI writers can generate a much better quality

Wordtune Alternatives

If you are not convinced of the features and functionality of Wordtune, here are some of the best alternatives that you can consider.

As mentioned, the Wordtune blog article writer can only generate articles of 400+ words, which may be insufficient for certain needs. If you’re a publisher or content writer seeking a true AI-powered long-form article writer, I recommend can create high-quality articles with a length of up to 5200 words. The generated articles exhibit an impressive content structure, incorporating proper subheadings, lists, tables, pros and cons, and even images.

In my review of various AI writers, stands out as one of the best in terms of quality and writing capability.

Neuronwriter is a well-known SEO optimization tool featuring its own AI writer. It offers various AI-powered writers, including one-click AI writers and AI paragraph generators. The one-click AI writer is capable of generating highly optimized articles with a length ranging from 800 to 1500 words.

The articles it generates are precise, pass AI detection, utilize proper headings, and achieve a content score of 60 or even higher, increasing their chances of ranking on Google. In addition to its one-click AI writer, Neuronwriter also features an AI tool called the ‘AI paragraph generator,’ which allows you to generate articles of 5000 words or even more.

If you’re looking for a highly optimized long-form AI writer, Surgegraph is the top alternative that I recommend. It can generate articles with a length ranging from 5000 to 7000+ words that are well-optimized and have a strong chance of ranking on Google.

Surgegraph also provides unlimited access to its keyword research tool and unlimited SEO optimization. Additionally, you can generate an unlimited number of articles when using Surgegraph.

For rewriting functionality, Surgegraph has you covered as well. You can highlight the entire paragraph and let the AI rewrite it for you. To be honest, Surgegraph surpasses Wordtune in every aspect, offering much better functionality.

I recommend Surgegraph not because I’m an affiliate but because it simply stands out in terms of functionality, usability, and pricing.

Final Thought

Wordtune has garnered significant attention as an AI writing tool, but as of 2024, numerous competitors have entered the scene. As a publisher who has extensively reviewed various AI writing tools, I’ve observed many competitors that offer superior functionality.

Given the advancements in the field, I find myself hesitant to recommend Wordtune. There are several AI writing tools, such as Surgegraph,, Neuronwriter, and more, that I consider to be much more effective than Wordtune.
