Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds NFT Game Review

Ni no Kuni is a popular role-playing game, a video game series made by a collaboration of Bandai Namco and Level-5 a Japanese game developer.

This RPG game has a lot of series and has been played on a different platform

The first in it series is the “Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn” it is playable on a Nintendo DS, followed by “Ni no Kuni: Hotriot Stories” in the same year that can be played on a mobile device.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch on PlayStation 3 in 2011, Ni no Kuni: Daibouken Monster in 2012, and Ni no Kuni ll: the Revenant Kingdom in 2018.

Now in 2022, Netmarble together with Level-5 released the newest series of Ni no Kuni– The “Ni no Kuni: Crossworld”. This series was first released in the year 2021 in three selected countries— Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Now in 2022 Netmarble has released the global version of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. But the question is— is it worth playing? Or is it the biggest Mobile RPG game of 2022? Let’s find out.

The Story

ni no kuni cross worlds story

Ni no Kuni Cross Worlds is an RPG game, that has a rich and interesting storyline, the main quest is driven by a beautiful story that you will surely enjoy.

The story of Ni no Kuni begins as you portray the role of the main character or a protagonist who is going to try the brand new virtual reality game soul driver, at first you might think that the world that you’ve seen were just part of a game, but as explore the game you will find out that everything that you see is real, you are not in a game but instead, you are in the separate world called “Ni no Kuni”.

This RPG game Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds has one of the best storylines in the game that I’ve ever played. Normally I skip some dialogue in some other games, but this is different.

I can’t afford to skip even a single line in dialoge, cuz when I play this game and progress into the main quest, I feel like I’m watching a movie and playing a game at the same time.

I also recommend that you play Ni no Kuni with sound or with your headphones on to fully understand each dialog. If you dont have one you can buy some cheap headphones on Amazon or any store, I promise that It’s worth playing this RPG game with a headphone.

Graphics

Ni no kuni: Cross Worlds graphics

The graphics of this RPG game is also impressive, it doesn’t have realistic graphics like the one we’ve seen in Mir4, Black Desert, or LifeAfter, instead, it has beautiful and colorful cartoonish graphics, like the one that we usually see in anime. If you are familiar with the game The Legends of Neverlands, Genshin Impact, and Dragon Hunters, they share a bit of similarity in the style of visuals or graphics.

Ni no Kuni: Cross worlds graphics is not much realistic, but it is still one of the most gorgeous looking RPG games, and it is lighter compare to some other games, because is it lighter, you can also expect to have a smoother gaming experience in this game.

But just make sure that If you want to play this game on a mobile device, only play this game on a phone with 4GB or higher and have atleast a processor of Snapdragon 662 or newer.

Ni no Kuni: Crossworlds Gameplay

The game starts with choosing your character in the game, you can choose from five different characters in this game, you can choose between Rogue, Destroyer, Witch, Engineer, and Swordsman.

ni no kuni cross worlds character customization

There is also character customization which is pretty basic in my opinion, you can just choose between hair preset, hair color, eye color, body type, skin tone, and default outfit of your character.

After choosing a character, you can start your adventure in the game, you will be sent into a world of fantasy, and portray the role of what they called a royal protector. Your mission is to save both worlds from chaos.

You can collect some powerful creatures that will join you in your adventure called “Familiar” these familiars are your greatest partner in your adventure. There is also a competition between familiars in a pokemon like battle called “Familiar Arena”, you can obtain some valuable rewards by participating in the Arena.

You can also create or join kingdoms in Kingdoms in this game and participate in some events like Kingdoms defense, where you and your team will defend your Kingdoms from attacking monsters, you can also engage with some other kingdoms in a relic war, and kingdom invasion for more PVP action.

A Play-To-Earn Game

I’m even surprised to know that Ni no Kuni: Crossworld was converted into a play-to-earn game.

Netmarble silently converts Ni no Kuni into a play-to-earn RPG game, but being a play-to-earn RPG game has some downside.

The biggest problem is the swarm of bots in the game, If you are a gamer that tries some play to earn MMORPG games, you probably know what I’m talking about, and based on my experience playing Ni no Kuni: Crossworld, I can say that they are not yet ready for this, they dont even have some captcha verification to minimize the appearance of bots in the game.

Login in the game takes me 30 mins to 1 hour since the server is full most of the time and what is more alarming is that the server might not be full of real gamers but instead, it is full of greedy people that use multiple accounts and bots to overcrowded the servers.

ni no kuni login problem

Greedy peoples that use bots are very common in play to earn MMORPG games, and one of the best examples of this is the popular Mir4 Global, the game is really good, but it is almost ruined by these greedy people.

The bot is not new to MMO games, but the play-to-earn feature of this game attracts more and more people that are not gaming and don’t even care about the game they just want to have some profit

Dont get me wrong, I love play-to-earn games, and in fact, I even recommend some crypto games on this website, the only thing that I complain about in this game is that Ni no Kuni is not yet ready for this.

They must do some actions to eliminate bots or minimize them by the use of a captcha or whatever kind of security they can use just to stop this person from using a bot, but for now, I couldn’t see some security features in Ni no Kuni, and I hope that Netmarble takes some serious actions for this.

Bottom Line

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is the best play-to-earn RPG game that I’ve played. Based on my own experience this game is far better than Mir4 in all aspects, Ni no Kuni doesn’t have realistic graphics, but still has stunning visuals.

Ni no Kuni: Crossworlds has gorgeous graphics and smoother gameplay even when you try to play it on a budget phone.

I also play this game on a PC and I haven’t faced any issues playing this game on a PC. If you want to try this game on a PC, you can download its PC version or use an emulator to save some space.

Does Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds worth playing?— absolutely, I can even say that Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is the best RPG game of this year that you can play both on mobile and PC.
